Miriam has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of the insurance industry, with time most recently spent at Jones Deslauriers in many different capacities. She has her brokers’ licence in all Canadian provinces and has years of experience in audits for both brokers and insurers, consulting, as well as training and development geared to commercial insurance brokers.
Miriam is a board member of the CIP society, an educational body in the industry. She is also the chair of the ethics sub-committee of this group.
But if you really want to see what she is all about: She has been a Girl Guide leader since 2007 where she takes on a group of teenage girls and shows them some stuff at weekly meetings. Cookies and cartwheels keep her grounded.
Miriam also sings, plays flute at the occasional wedding, and gives any job she takes on 125% effort. She considers herself a bit of a perfectionist which isn’t a bad thing in her line of work.
One more thing. She does have quite the laugh. It has become her signature. You’ll know it, if you ever have the pleasure of hearing it. She throws that in for no extra charge.
